・What is the Theme, message, what does the reader learn about self?
- In this story, The caterpillarneed to eat a lot if they want to grow up very well, but people are going to have stomachache if they eat too much.
・How is the quality of writing, use of language, literary style?
- The words in this book are easy to understand, but sometimes there are some words such as caterpillar, lollipop and nibble that people have never learned until high school. Also, the grammars in it are easy. almost of all are SVO or SVC.
In the situation of the caterpillar eating, almost all of sentences are “ On ~ he ate through ~ , but he was stil hungry, so this book make rythm by same phrase.
・Is the Character and plot development clear and well done?
- The character, is a caterpillar grow up through he ate foods. Amount of his eating increased day by day. After a week from when he was born, he was full, fat and bigger than before. Also, he made a cocoon. After that he turned into a beutiful butterfly.
・How is the Reading level, appropriateness for target audience
- It is approproate for target audience. However, it is too easy for 5 - 6 years old children because sentences in the book are very short. I remember reading longer sentences when I was about 6 years old, so 5 - 6 years old children can do that.

-the texts is very short and easy. so we can understand. But, just facts was written, there is no text about the feeling.

The text used same rhythm sentence that keep the grammars, just change words. It is also device. I think the organization is sufficient.

- The main charsctor overeated, then he had a stomach ache. We think this problem was experienced by almost of the children because children have a lot of criosity, they want to try everything.

- He had a stomache ache, but he ate one nice green leaf, after that he felt much better.
